Children learn best when they are relaxed and comfortable. That is why we use a process called “Tell-Show-Do.”

Tell-Show-Do is a technique that creates a higher level of confidence and assurance for children. Dr. Church provides a verbal description of a procedure, “tell,” in age-appropriate language so that the child understands what will be happening and why. “Show” is a demonstration that addresses the child’s sight, sound, smell, and touch sensations. “Do” is the performance of the procedure exactly as it was explained to the child, without variation. The Tell – Show – Do technique may be used on adults as well as children to familiarize and desensitize them to reduce apprehension. Combined with Dr. Church’s natural and engaging personality and the calm and friendly manner of our staff, Tell-Show-Do has been very successful and effective.
